Idyllwild Ice Cream Shop

Stumbled accross this place while exploring Idyllwild and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed it! Located in the small town, not far away from anything at all, this place really satisfied!

Seating isn't the best. There's a bench, some walls and some tables but us with our big partt, struggled to find seating. But that didn't stop us from enjoying all our treats on the nice day! We just went to the central area across the street and sat on the benches there.

We got ice cream, churros and beef jerkey. The Ice Cream was really good. There was something about it that just seemed homey. The churros were definitely fresh. They were nice and warm and you could see the steam. The beef jerkey was super flavorful.

If you're ever in Idyllwild, definitely give this place a try. They have lots of variety and the service is great!

I had to stop here after seeing all the great reviews.
It's a smaller shop with a walk up window, but everything in this town is pretty walkable so that's not a problem. They have a good amount of flavors and a few that I tried were very good. I generally stick to mint chocolate chip but tried some of my friend's ice cream as well. It definitely hit the spot.
They were very friendly and it had a really nice atmosphere. There is seating out front and on the side, so even if it's busy, there's a lot of places to sit. The park is also really close so you could walk there and enjoy your ice cream.
This is definitely a spot I will be back to visit every time I'm in town.

Wow. Tried lemon crumble and banana cream pie - couldn't decide which to get. Ended up getting banana cream pie and going to come get lemon crumble tomorrow. I saw in reviews everyone loves the blackberry so I'm going to get they the day after.

Perfectly sweet, incredibly creamy, and perfect amount of add ins. Tastes so fresh and so delicious, definitely one of my top ice cream spots ever. Can't wait to come back for more.

Had the blackberry ice cream. I'm not usually someone who goes for fruity flavors, but I was compelled to try the blackberry. It's not a flavor you find often, and I was thinking back to when I was in Zion and had a huckleberry ice cream I absolutely loved, so I think I was looking for something similar again. I ended up finding out blackberry is their number one flavor. It was worth it, creamy with a subtle sweetness. They've got so many flavors from fruity to chocolatey to floral to choose from so there is absolutely something for everyone. Would definitely stop by again if I ever found myself inn Idyllwild again.

It's been a while since we were here and we came to Idyllwild for another visit this weekend. Decided to stop at the ice cream place again. It's as scrumptious as before! Staff is friendly and offered if pup wants a small ice cream! The espresso chips taste so good! I heard banana cream pie was popular. My husband got it. Not my cup of tea but the ice cream quality here is always high! Come try them out! Their flavor is also rotating based off time of the year I think. I saw pistachio last time and was up for trying but it's not in the menu during this visit

Visiting Idyllwild Ice Cream Shop after each work week of camp has become a ritual and form of self-care for myself and a handful of my colleagues. This is easily my favorite spot for desserts in all of town, thus far.

I've ordered the Idyllwild Blackberry flavor twice now. I love how it's not overly sweet, just fruity enough, and is refreshing/cooling; especially on a warm day where my taste buds are craving a sweet treat. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the ice cream is absolutely delicious! There's an ample amount of seating - enough for 3 - 4 parties to sit near the pick-up window. (Note: the store-front and seating are all outside)

Maybe one of these days, I'll challenge myself to try other flavors and sweet treat offerings at the ice cream shop. But for now? It's likely I'll keep coming back to the Blackberry flavor. Yum!

The woman before us chose Hawaiian shave ice.

You order through an open window. The choices are posted outside. The 3 of us chose ice cream. Two chose sugar cones and I got a waffle cone of Rocky Road. Decadent and so enjoyable.

I simply love the homemade ice creams here. The flavor of the season for me is the lemon and idyllwild blackberry- I've gifted these ice cream to people and always a crowd favorite. The little swirly cookie is a really decadent touch as well. Everyone is super nice. Summers expect a line!

Love this little Icecream place. The staff is super friendly too. It's awesome that they have vegan options with different bases (oat based and almond) for allergy sensitive diets!

AHHHHH BEST ROCKY ROAD EVER. Best ice cream ever, best dairy free ice cream ever, and incredible service.
I got their rocky road.... and wooow so delicious. It was so creamy and not too sweet or chocolatey. It was perfect.
My mom cant have any diary and is also diabetic and she got their coconut diary free ice cream. She finished it and was completely raving about it the whole time and thereafter as well.
Shes not much of a sweets person or ice cream person and she loved it.
The service was so sweet as well. We had three pups with us and the girls gave them all a little dessert as well.

Whenever we come back we will definitely visit this ice cream again!
